7 Details You Didn't Know About Your Shirt

What is craftsmanship in shirt-making? To the naked eyes, you might have missed these details. We believe it's important to keep you informed on what to look for in a high quality shirt.

Here, our Founder/Designer Charles, tells us seven details you don't want to miss.

1. HIDDEN BUTTON DOWN COLLAR

Have you lost your collar stays? If your answer is yes, you might want to look this way. With this design, the buttons are hidden under the collars, that means you can wash the shirts with no more collar stays to take out.

"It's like having a typical spread collar and a button down in one shirt, having that flexibility is awesome. I also think that these Hidden Button Down Shirts are quite versatile for dressing up and down too." says Charles.

2. UNIQUE BUTTONS

Buttons are an important part of our shirts, this wood style buttons will set your shirts apart from any other shirts you have. These shirts with wood-styled buttons are our customer's favorites.

3. INNER CUFF AND COLLAR CONTRAST

Contrast not only creates interest, but also serves as function. Impress your peers with these button down shirtsAre you familiar with the Italian Master Roll? That's the most durable sleeve rolling technique that always stay rolled throughout the day but also shows off the contrast inner cuffs.

"On a hot day, you can roll up your sleeves and get that peek-a-boo of color at your cuff, people will wonder how you did it." says Charles

And since we are here to help, check out how to roll your sleeves and all the techniques. It's really easy, we promise. The Fearless Feline shirt below has a stripe accent in the cuff and collar.

4. INNER PLACKET TRIM

"The trim makes your shirt really special, and I think that's why people choose our shirts. It peeks out just enough when buttoned up and it can also be worn open on tees." says Charles.

An inner placket trim is eye-catching part of the shirt, making the shirt pop. This Burgundy Flannel Shirt (Left) and  the Texture Grey Pique Shirt (Right) will be one of the most exciting shirts in your archive.

5. YOKE CONTRAST AND ELBOW PATCHES

We have incorporated contrast fabric into the yoke area of the shirt.  If you don't know what a "Yoke" is, look below.  We play solid color against pattern, bringing out the form and what makes up your shirt!

Not to mention some cool elbow patches where you no longer need to worry about holes or tears in the elbow.  This Flannel Shirt in Green Plaid will make you the most stylish, and now you can tell people that you know a good yoke!

6. THE SEAMLESS POCKET

"If a shirt is made with care, the pocket position is seamless. When you look at the whole shirt, the pocket is not even there." says Charles.  Pocket is not just for function but also indicates the level of care taken in the pattern drafting process.

Experience the seamless pocket in some of our printed shirt like the Fearless Feline and the Flannel Plaid Shirts.

7. SLEEVES FASTENER

"You can fasten your sleeves when you need to do any heavy lifting. Because the sleeves stay up, you can be mobile." says Charles. Some of the Flannel Shirts like the Flanneltastic in Grey and the Burgundy have this feature and it makes your life so much easier.  We added the sleeves fastener in an accent color. It is the recipe to an unforgettable shirt!
